Abraham Patriarch Hebrew, a descendant of Shem and son of Terah, born in Ur (Chaldean). His wife Sara had to Isaac and his slave Hagar Ishmael, progenitor of the Arab people.
After all that God wanted to test Abraham, and called him and said, "Abraham." And he answered: "Here I am." And God said, "Go, take your son, your only son, whom thou lovest, Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah, and there ofrécemelo burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will show you. " He arose, Abraham morning, saddled his ass, and taking with him two servants and Isaac his son, broke the wood for the burnt offering, and set out for the place God had told him. On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place afar off. And he said to his two servants: "Stay here with the ass, and I and the boy go over there, and after worship, we will return to you." And Abraham taking the wood for the burnt offering, laid it on Isaac his son, took him in his hand the fire and the knife, and followed both together. Isaac said to Abraham: "My Father." "What do you, my son," he said. And he said, "Here we have the fire and the wood, but the response to the Holocaust, where is it?". And Abraham said, 'God will provide a response to the holocaust, my son, and the two remained together. Arrived at the place that God told him, Abraham lifted the altar there and arranged the wood on him, bound his son and put him on the altar upon the wood. He took the knife and then held out his arm to slay his son. But he cried out from heaven the angel of the Lord, saying: "Abraham, Abraham." And he answered: "Here I am." "Do not lay your arm on the child," he said - and did not do anything, because now I've seen that truly fear God, because for me you've forgiven your son, your only begotten. "
